What is geography?

Geography means 'to write about,or describe, the Earth'.Geography is a very wide range. It can range from maps to even the solar system!Geography helps us understand how different places in the Earth are linked. Now imagine if we didn't study geography,we would not know where different countries are located so it will take us forever to find our destination! We also would not be able to predict when a hurricane will strike therefore many lives will be lost.
When we study Geography,we can divide it into two groups such as the physical environment or the human environment.Physical environment refers to things that occurs naturally to the Earth and the processes leading to their formation.Examples of these are volcanoes, mountains or even rocks. The human environment is the way people live, work and interact.Examples of these are buildings.
The Earth is already 4,550 million years old. What can we do to help Mother nature? Can we meet the needs of today without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs?People and the environment are changing.Sustainable development concerns the future. Will Earth still be there tomorrow......?Will life still be sustainable?Do you care enough to make a difference.....Think about it ,what can YOU do? Make Earth a better place for you and i now.
